New products are popping up everywhere.
Each is trying to stand out from the crowd by promising incredible results.
These range from bigger lifts and stronger muscles to better sex and fat loss.
As with anything in life, some products are good, while others are dodgier than a twelve-day-old coronation chicken sandwich.
In this article we will look at one of the more well-known testosterone boosters: EVL TEST.
We’ll look at the company that sells it, the promises they make, and the ingredients contained within.
In the end, we will assess whether EVL TEST is worth your time and money, or whether you should avoid it like that chicken sandwich.
Quick Review: EVL Test is a surprisingly good testosterone booster.
It contains some proven ingredients to help you boost testosterone.
The price is good so this one may be worth a try.

The first thing that strikes us is how Evlution Nutrition misspell evolution.
What’s that about?
They are a young company, only founded in 2013, but in that time they have become a major player in the supplement world.
One critique is that they could find some higher-profile athletes to represent them.
They only have a few Instagram fitness people so far, but this is a minor complaint!
Their supplement range is excellent, if a little over-saturated with BCAA supplements and fat burners.
These BCAA supplements are pointless if your protein intake is high enough.
Evlution Nutrition tend to be very open about their ingredients which is a major plus.
They also put a lot of time and effort into making sure that people enjoy using their supplements.
You’d think that this would be common behaviour in the supplement industry – but it isn’t!
EVL Test Claims
Evlution Nutrition make five claims about their EVL TEST supplement.
The first claim is that it supports natural testosterone levels.
This is a well-worded claim which doesn’t say that EVL TEST increases testosterone.
Instead, it makes it clear that the product will help customers reach their optimal, natural levels of testosterone.
This is a subtle yet crucial distinction.
They are not promising you bodybuilder levels of testosterone.
They promise to help you reach and maintain the correct amount of testosterone to lead a healthy lifestyle.
This claim is realistic, it is achievable, and it is honest.
All that a natural testosterone booster CAN do is help you maintain optimal levels.
For 99% of men, this is all they need.
EVL TEST also claims to increase strength, stamina, and performance, as well as optimising sleep.
These claims are dependent on raising your testosterone to optimal levels and leading an otherwise healthy life.
You can boil these claims down to the following:
EVL TEST will help you increase your testosterone levels if you are low, which most men are.
This in turn will improve your strength, stamina, gym results, and sleep.
Obviously, this is not as catchy, but it is more accurate.
EVL TEST Ingredients
We approve of the honesty and integrity of Evlution Nutrition’s claims.
As a company, they make a good impression.
But the only thing that matters is what ingredients are in EVL TEST and whether they work or not.
EVL TEST contains:
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B6
- D-Aspartic Acid
- Tribulus Terrestris Extract
- Diindolylmethane (DIM)
The first ingredient on their list is Vitamin D, an ingredient that you can get for free by walking outside more.
Okay, maybe that’s not fair.
People can become deficient in Vitamin D, particularly if they have darker skin and live in a country which has less sunlight.
Studies have associated low levels of Vitamin D with lower testosterone.
Does this mean Vitamin D supplementation can increase testosterone?
A few studies seem to suggest that it can.
A 2010 study in Clinical Endocrinology found that taking Vitamin D did boost testosterone production in men who were deficient .
These findings were not universal, and other studies have failed to see a correlation.
It seems safe to suggest that if your levels of Vitamin D and testosterone are low, taking Vitamin D could improve your situation.
ZMA is a supplement of Vitamin B6, Magnesium, and Zinc. It is very popular, and there is some evidence that a zinc and magnesium combination can help to increase testosterone.
A study in 2000 found that taking zinc and magnesium together led to increases in both testosterone and growth hormone .
ZMA is often taken as a sleep aid, and to improve recovery.
It is thus present in this supplement to help improve sleep.
Tribulus Terrestris Extract is often found in testosterone boosters. The bad news is it is actually proven to be ineffective at increasing testosterone (except in infertile men) .
It does increase your libido and improve erections though, so it has some benefit.
It also helps trick men into thinking that their testosterone booster is working!
Diindolylmethane (DIM), when taken in certain doses, can help to inhibit the production of the enzyme aromatase.
Aromatase converts testosterone into estrogen, so reducing aromatase can aid testosterone levels.
Yet taking too much DIM can actually lead to an increase in aromatase production so keep that in mind!
EVL Test Customer Reviews
The good reviewers on Bodybuilding.com have given mostly positive reviews of the product.
There’s a problem with reviews which we’ve mentioned in other testosterone booster articles.
In short, it’s difficult to know if a t booster is working unless you take blood measurements.
This means most reviews are just pure guess work or confirmation bias – if you expect good results, you’re more likely to notice them.
Two reviewers complained about headaches, though they are the only two out of hundreds of reviews.
Many reviewers noticed improved sleep and energy, and a lot also claimed that it improved their recovery after exercise.
This is not surprising as the ingredients present (particularly ZMA) will absolutely help with sleep and recovery.
EVL Test Bottom Line
EVL TEST is a surprisingly decent testosterone booster.
It uses a clever combination of ingredients which all have a unique use and benefit:
- DIM can help inhibit aromatase
- ZMA can improve sleep and recovery
- Vitamin D can help with increased testosterone if you are Vitamin D deficient.
- Tribulus Terrestris can improve your sex drive
- And D-Aspartic Acid appears to help with increased testosterone too
It does what it says it does, it doesn’t make any outrageous promises, and comes at a fair price.
You can either get flavoured powder or capsules and it’s really up to you which you prefer.
If you feel that you are low on t (or received a diagnosis that you are), this could be for you.
It is a nice addition to the usual standbys of exercise, sleep, and nutrition, and should help you see a modest increase in testosterone.
(If you’ve used EVL Test then let us know in the comments what you thought of it!)
