A lot of testosterone boosters are designed for older men to heighten their sex drive, but Test Freak is aimed at guys wanting to build muscle and get in shape.

If building muscle is your primary reason for wanting to take a testosterone booster, you may be interested in Test Freak.

According to Test Freak’s page on bodybuilding.com, it’s a natural testosterone booster made from clinically tested ingredients.

On the developer’s website, PharmaFreak.com, they have a banner that says “Nothing is Stronger,” referring to the high amount of active ingredients found in each capsule.

They claim that Test Freak contains double the amount of each ingredient found in competing testosterone boosters and more TESTOFEN (from Fenugreek) than any other testosterone booster.

They also claim that TESTOFEN was found to increase testosterone levels by an average of 99.8% in at least one study, which they don’t cite.

The company’s Amazon page also claims that Test Freak can

  • Increase free testosterone
  • Maximize muscle growth and strength
  • Increase sex drive and performance
  • Maximize muscle growth and strength
  • Increase sex drive and performance

Along with increasing testosterone production, Test Freak contains blends of ingredients to stimulate LH production, which is a hormone released by your brain to signal your testicles to produce testosterone.

It also blocks DHT and Estrogen levels.

The Quick Review: Out of the many testosterone boosters we’ve reviewed on Iron Junkies Test Freak is one of the better ones.

There’s solid evidence that the ingredients will help to boost testosterone levels.

There are positive and negative reviews but overall this one may be worth a try if you workout regularly and want to improve your health and physique.

How to Take Test Freak?

The company recommends taking 4 capsules every day before bed with 8 ounces of water.

You should also wait at least 30 minutes after eating.

They also recommend taking it for 8 weeks and following with a 2-week break.

Test Freak shouldn’t be used by anybody who’s pregnant or anybody under 18 years old.

How much does Test Freak cost?

On the company’s Amazon page, Test Freak is selling for $49.98 with free shipping.

GNC offers the product for $54.99 with free shipping while the company’s official website offers it for $69.99 at the time this article was written.

Pharma Freak also offers a refund within 30 days if you’re not 100% satisfied with their product as long as you return your bottle at least 75% full.

Because you can take two weeks off after taking this supplement for 8 weeks, the price per day is lower than it seems.

With the cycling off period, it’s about $1.33 per day.

Vitamin & Mineral Support

Vitamin B6, Zinc, and Magnesium are nutrients critical for your overall health and testosterone production.

Test Freak contains high levels of each of these vitamins and minerals.

In one study, 30mg of Zinc supplementation per day was found to increase testosterone in strength-trained athletes (1).

More research has to be explicitly done on vitamin B6 and magnesium supplementation, however, it’s thought that these minerals can increase the bioavailability of testosterone.

Proprietary Complex 1

This blend of Fenugreek extract and Tribulus terrestris is responsible for the testosterone boosting effects this supplement claims to have.

Both of these supplements are commonly used in testosterone boosters, but is there enough research to justify their use?

Right now, the research says not in young, healthy men.

Most studies on Fenugreek have found that it hasn’t been able to increase testosterone production (2, 3).

Even though it doesn’t seem to have an effect on testosterone production, research shows it may improve libido (4).

Tribulus terrestris is another overhyped supplement getting a lot of attention these days.

Right now the research shows that it doesn’t benefit young, healthy men with already normal testosterone production (5, 6).

One study shows that Tribulus terrestris increased testosterone by 16% in men with erectile dysfunction (7).

Test Freak Reviews

Overall, the customer reviews look to be promising.

Most customers on Amazon report seeing noticeable improvements in their workouts.

Andrew said it well when he said your diet and nutrition need to be in check to get the most out of this product.

Test Freak can also have benefits for women wanting to get more out of their workouts.

The average Amazon rating is 3.8/5 starts with repeated customers like JL swearing by it.

However, keep in mind that everybody’s body works differently.

Should You Use Test Freak?

The following are some of the advantages of this supplement

  • It’s designed to specifically help you gain muscle and cut fat.

  • You can cycle off every 9th and 10th week

  • Research backed libido-boosting benefits

  • Pharma Freak is transparent about the ingredients

  • It’s sold on Amazon and GNC

The following are reasons why you shouldn’t take this supplement:

  • Because it relies mostly on blends of ingredients, it’s hard to know which ingredients are most active.

  • The main testosterone boosters Fenugreek and Tribulus Terrestris don’t have enough research to back them

Test Freak Bottom Line

Overall, Test Freak is a solid testosterone booster compared to its competitors and worth a shot.

Don’t expect Test Freak to change your body if your nutrition and workouts aren’t already well planned, but it may give you an extra boost.

Unlike many testosterone boosters that skimp on the ingredients in their ZMA complexes, Test Freak actually provides a substantial amount of zinc in line with the amount used in research.

This supplement may also have libido-boosting properties, which is a nice bonus even if it’s not your primary goal for taking Test Freak.

It would be nice if the company broke down all the ingredients in the blends to better be able to analyze their effects.

However, overall customers report seeing good results while taking this product, so give it a try to see if it works for you.

(If you’ve used Test Freak then let us know in the comments if it worked for you!)
